Anglesey is world renowned for it’s tidal waters, and paddlers of all levels and ability enjoy playing and learning here. There is indeed a lot of complexity around this coast and as the Tide runs along all the headlands that stick into the stream, the current speeds up! And as that happens, they encounter wind and waves (most of the time). Once those elements start to interact, the three dimensional world of Tide races, and overfalls.
The weather aka, the wind and swell play big part in our venue of choice. Get it right and you’re in for a treat! As we are entering the world of the three dimensional Tidal environment, there is a lot to discover. Weather you want to dip your paddle in to a tiderace for the first time or getting stuck in with some surfing. Skills, seamanship, risk management, decision making, route choice, rescue skills, are just some of the things we can do there.
Similar to the Static Tide Race course, we can run this at different Levels.
- Whether you want to experience Overfalls and three dimensional eddylines for the first time. And build a understanding how the coast and sea interact.
- Or expanding skills, incident management or pushing the comfort zone for example.
- Perhaps you are pretty happy with your personal skills and just want to have a go in some advanced water and test rolling and self rescue skills?
- If you are a experienced sea kayaker and/or have white water grade 3 ish background, and you want to surf like there is no tomorrow, we can probably find a spot to have a good time.

Anglesey ist Welt bekannt für seine Tiden Gewässer, und Paddler/innen auf allen Niveaus genießen hier das spielen und die Möglichkeiten sich weiter zu entwickeln. Die äußerst komplexe küsste mit ihren vielen Kaps stellt sich gewissermaßen der Tide in den weg. Hier nimmt die Strömung zu. Diese “Turbulenzen” können dann auf Wind und Wellen treffen. Und nun entwickelt sich das dreidimensionale Terrain der Tide races und Overfalls.
Das wetter, also Wind und Wellen spielen eine Entschiedene Rolle bei unserer Entscheidung wo es hingeht. Es gibt viel zu tun in diesem dreidimensionalem “Testzentrum”. Ob man nun zum ersten mal hier paddelt oder doch surfen möchte. Persönliche Seemahnschaft, Probleme lösen, Retten und Bergen, Ruten Erkundung sind nur ein paar Beispiele von dem was wir hier tun können.
Gleichermaßen, wie unser Statischer Tiden Sportplatz Kurs, ist dieses Module auf verschiedenen Levels Zuschneidbar.
- Ob ihr zum ersten mal in die Welt der dreidimensionale kehr-wässer und Verschneidungszonen eintauchen möchtet, um ein Verständnis für das interagieren von Küsste und Strömung entwickeln zu können.
- Oder Fähigkeiten wie retten und bergen, Paddel Technik und die eigene Komfort Zone erweitern.
- Nun, du bist recht happy mit deinem persönlichen Level und möchtest deine Rolle und Selbstrettung in fortgeschrittenem Rauwasser durch testen.
- Für solche die Wildwasser 3+ Erfahrung besitzen oder den BC Advanced Coastal award halten, und sich einfach mal ins Tide-race Getümmel stürzen wollen, das können wir natürlich mit unseren ausgeprägten Revier Kenntnissen ebenfalls einrichten.
